Dr. George W. Ford has been practicing dentistry in Lilburn since 1984. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated summa cum laude and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1980.  He then served his residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. Following that, Dr. Ford served as a Dental Officer in the United States Air Force, where he was awarded the Commendation Medal in 1984.  He was also in the Masters Program in Microbiology at Georgia State University, a CPR instructor with the American Heart Association, and a certified Nutritionist from the Nutritionists Institute of America.

Dr. Ford resides in Gwinnett County with his wife, Karen, and two children, Scott and Shannon. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Georgia Dental Association, a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Dentistry and a volunteer on the Georgia Dental Mass Disaster Team.

Dr. Ford has recently been selected as a Dental Researcher with a network affiliated with the University of Florida and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Learn more at www.DentalPBRN.org.
